The summer of the London riots was spent filming ‘local heroes’ working to make a difference to troubled communities in the UK, in a documentary commissioned by The Big Lottery Fund about Your Square Mile. Aside from being a rewarding and inspiring experience, it was the opportunity to explore themes of age, race, unity and belonging within a complex, observational structure. This film was contracted and executive produced by Tonic Media.
